Hototo Halter Show of 2014 Results

Welcome to Rosendal
It was a while since we had a show for the breed, and finally we are having a show again.

This time it is a halter show where you are to show your horse performing walk, trot or standing.
The categories are as follows;
- Champion Stallion
- Champion Mare
- Champion Foal
- Champion Crossbreed (crosses will compete with pure ones, but will be judged individually. So a cross cannot be compared to a pure one, hence the crosses get's a own prize.)

The Arena
The show will take place infront of the castle in one of the pastures.
It is winter and the snow is about 15-20 centimeter thick.
Show will start 14 PM and the weather will be fair.
Arena has no fence, only a hedge surrounding it.



Drawing Rules
No pre-made linearts.
Art must belong to you, no tracing allowed.
Drawn Backgrounds preferred- photo backgrounds allowed, but lowers your final score.
You are allowed to enter as many Hototo's in each class as you desire. No limit.
Your Hototo must be registered within the group.

The Halter Show
The judges will look at how well the Hototo is proportioned and how it moves. Does it look like a typical Hototo? Does it move like one etc.
This is a effort based show. Do your best, and you are one step closer to victory.

Class I - 0-4 year old.
Purebreds and crossbreeds (crossbreeds must be 50% Hototo, any amount below is not acceptable).
Foal/yearling shall perform a walk and trot in front of the judges and later be shown in hand.
Foal/yearling shall have a halter.
Mane and tail can be braided.
Leader may be visible in the picture, but not necessarily.
If showing a foal under one year, mare/dam shall be visible in the picture.
In the background you can hear low classical music.

Class II - Mares 5 years +.
Purebreds and crossbreeds.
Mare shall perform a walk and trot in front of the judges. Then perform a canter for one lap around the arena and later be shown in hand.
Mares shall wear a halter.
Mane and tail may be braided or loose.
Leader may be visible in the picture, but not necessarily.
In the background you can hear low classical music.

Champion Mare/Winner get's 500 . + A head portrait or a starter by Jullelin + 5 Hototo CP's..
Reserve Champion Mare get's 250 + 1 Hototo Starter created by Jullelin + 5 Hototo CP's..

Class III - Stallions 5 years +
Purebreds and crossbreeds.
Stallions shall perform a walk and trot in front of the judges. Then perform a canter for one lap around the arena and later be shown in hand.
Stallions shall wear a bridle, blinkers are allowed.
Mane and tail may be braided or loose.
Leader may be visible in the picture, but not necessarily.
In the background you can hear low classical music.

Judges Choice
Each judge will choose a entry they liked the most, and that entry will receive 250 for their effort. There will be 3 judges choice, so draw well.

Judges
We are looking for some judges who can help us judge this event. Up to 4 judges are wanted.

Judges don't have to have Hototo's on their own, but they should know a little bit about the breed.
Must be a member at Hototos
You are allowed to participate in the show, although you are a judge. Your voice will just be left out in your own entry.
Must be active at DA, almost everyday visits.

If you want to be a judge send a note titled "Judge Application" and the staff of Rosendal will look through your application.

How it will be judged
Judges will go through each drawing and give the Hototo portrait points between 1-10. So maximum points received is 30p.
If Hototo's end up with the same score, there will be a public vote on who the winner should be.

Deadlines
Show will start the 23rd of February (Scandinavian time)
Registration not needed.
Show ends 23rd of April. Deadline: 23rd of May.

Update
The show is hereby closed. The judges will now be gathered and judge the entries.
